Privacy

How Corner Cutters handles information in the game and when you contact us.

Who is behind the game?

En Påse Smågodis AB, company number 556866-1671, is behind Corner Cutters and uses WPH Media as its brand for games and music. The company is the data controller for the processing that we determine under this policy. Reach us at info@enpasesmagodis.se or En Påse Smågodis AB, DevCode, Sveavägen 49, 113 59 Stockholm, Sweden.

What is saved on your device

The game saves your chosen driver name, settings, track progress and local records on your device. This information is used to remember your choices and show previous results. You do not need a separate account with us to race. The current version contains no advertising or analytics tools of our own.

Deleting the app may remove local progress and settings. Device backups and Apple services may have their own retention rules. Deleting the app does not automatically delete Game Center results or your Apple purchase history.

Global results through Game Center

If you connect to Game Center, the game can submit newly completed races to Apple’s leaderboards. Results are linked to your Game Center account and may be shown with your Game Center name. Your local driver name is not used as your name on the global leaderboard.

If an upload fails, the game may save a pending time and a player identifier locally to retry with the correct account. Older local records are not uploaded automatically.

Apple describes its processing, visibility and your settings in Game Center & Privacy.

Track pack purchases

Purchases and purchase restoration are handled through Apple’s App Store. The game checks which track packs your Apple Account is entitled to so it can grant access. The game does not receive your card details. See Apple’s privacy information.

When you email us

We receive your email address and the information you choose to send, such as device details and a description of a game issue. We use this information to handle your enquiry. Avoid sending sensitive information, passwords or card details. We keep support emails for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and follow up on it, normally for no longer than 12 months after the case is closed. Information may be kept longer if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or handle a dispute.

The website

The website’s own content uses no analytics tools, advertising, contact forms or social media embeds. Images, fonts and other resources are served with the site. Your choice to pause the background motion is saved locally in your browser and is not sent to us. The website is published through OpenAI Sites. Our email is handled by Google. These providers handle technical information and messages respectively to deliver their services. To deliver and protect the website, the hosting service may process IP addresses, browser information and technical requests. We do not use this information to track you across websites.

Our legal bases

Processing necessary to provide the game features you request and access to purchased track packs is based on performing our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Game Center is optional; you can play without connecting. Apple is responsible for its own processing under its terms and privacy information.

We handle support enquiries and operate and protect the website based on our legitimate interests in helping players and providing a working, secure service (Article 6(1)(f)). Where information is needed to meet a legal obligation, we rely on Article 6(1)(c). Necessary processing to establish, exercise or defend legal claims is based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

Recipients and processing outside the EU/EEA

Google handles our email. OpenAI Sites provides website hosting; for us in the EEA, the contracting party is OpenAI Ireland Ltd. These providers and their subprocessors have access to information needed to deliver their services. Apple handles Game Center and the App Store. We do not sell personal data.

Providers may process information outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Their published terms provide for applicable adequacy decisions or European Commission standard contractual clauses to safeguard transfers. Contact us for further information about applicable safeguards or a copy of relevant safeguards.

Read OpenAI’s Data Processing Addendum and Google’s information on transfers.

Retention and deletion

Local game information remains for as long as it is held in the app’s storage or a backup you retain. You can change your driver name in player settings. Support cases follow the twelve-month rule above; only information needed for a legal obligation or dispute is kept longer, for as long as that purpose requires. Technical information held by the hosting service is retained under its applicable terms for operation, security and legal obligations; we do not specify our own fixed retention period for the provider’s technical logs.

Apple retains Game Center results and purchase history under its own rules. You can manage Game Center through your Apple Account. Contact us for help with a deletion request; we cannot erase Apple’s purchase history on your behalf.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request information, access and correction and, in certain circumstances, erasure, restriction, data portability or object to processing. Contact us at the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

In particular, you have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Emailing us is voluntary, but we need sufficient contact and case details to respond. We do not use your information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
